The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) announced the winners of its Globe Award for environment excellence. This year’s award in the Bridge category goes to the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) and Department of Natural resources for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge fish reef creation program
Meanwhile, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) named the Woodrow Willson Bridge project the 2008 Outstanding Civil Engineering Award.
